When you're out all day why not leave your beloved pooch in our capable hands. We are a professional and modern day care service for dogs. We offer a cage free, safe & secure environment.
...a professional and modern daycare service for dogs. Each of our activities is designed to enhance your dogs natural abilities through enrichment activities. We also have individual booths where your pooches can have downtime when necessary. For dogs that never seem to stop, we offer a Woodland Adventure walk in the middle of the day.
We take dog care very seriously ...We have a 5* rating from Bedfordshire Council and are fully insured . All our staff have undertaken First Aid Training and are committed to furthering that training to make sure they always have the most up to date knowledge.
Before introducing your little darlings to the others... we have to make sure they are up to date with all their vaccinations. Puppies are welcome but must wait until they are 16 weeks old to ensure they are fully protected. We suggest that puppies of this age only attend for 2 hour sessions until they are 24 weeks old. Then we are happy for them to progress to a half day, which is 5 hours. We would suggest that dogs only attend for a full day once they are a year old. We do take intact males as we believe every dog should be assessed on a case by case basis.
We run two meet & greet sessions a day at 10.00am and 12 noon which last for 2 hours. We ask that dog mums and dads go home for a bit because otherwise their dogs behave differently with them around - but don't worry we take your details and if there are any problems we call you immediately so that you can come and pick them up More information below.
Here at Paws Galore, we have had to turn away quite a large number of puppies from our daycare. These were lock down puppies and as such, did not have the chance to be socialised and were therefore too overwhelmed by the number of other dogs we have.
It got us thinking of another way in which we can help your puppies.
We have set up our new 'Puppy Confidence Club' where we will have 3-4 nervous pups in a separate, relaxing room with a canine carer to protect them from overwhelm! We will introduce an older and calmer 'buddy' from one of our daycare pack to mentor them and build their confidence!
We will work through a number of challenges e.g 'approaching another dog' and 'playing with another dog'. We really think that it will be so beneficial to lock down puppies in particular who just need a bit of guidance and support when making new friends!
Sessions will be held Monday-Friday 9am-11am every week and you can pick and choose what suits you best.
For our club to be most effective, we recommend that your pup comes regularly so that we can continue with their confidence building.

We are unable to accept bitches in season into the Paws Galore daycare centre. You need to inform us at the earliest opportunity if your bitch has come into season. If we spot this while in care with us we will separate your dog for the remainder of her stay and you will be informed.
Any ‘intact’ dogs will be reviewed on a case by case basis. If any aggression, sexual or otherwise is shown, the owner will be contacted and advised that we cannot accept the dog back into our care until 3 weeks after the dog has been neutered.
Dogs with contagious diseases or parasites are not allowed at the daycare. For the safety and health of other dogs at Paws Galore Daycare we cannot accommodate dogs with contagious disease or parasites.
Common diseases or parasites include, but are not limited to: bordatella (kennel cough), conjunctivitis, and intestinal parasites/worms. Symptoms of disease include: coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, discharge from the eyes, nose, mouth, and/or visible parasites in the stool.
If a dog shows signs of disease or parasites while in our care, we will isolate him from the other dogs and the owner will be asked to take him to the vet for a check-up. The dog is welcome to come back to daycare only after the vet declares him healthy and free of disease or parasites.
If a dog arrives at Paws Galore Daycare showing signs of disease or parasites, or if a dog is actively being treated for disease or parasites, the dog is not allowed to stay. This is for the comfort, health, and safety of your dog and the other dogs.
While we strongly believe that there is no such thing as a bad breed or a bad dog, not every dog is suited for our off-lead, open-play environment. We take our Doggy guests’ safety very seriously, so each one must first complete a thorough Meet & Greet to ensure that they are a good fit for daycare.
For the Meet & Greet, please arrive with your dog on a lead or slip lead with a collar/harness both in the car park and upon entry into the reception area. The evaluation process with your dog will take 2 hours with our trained Canine Carers.
Should you not attend your meet and greet without letting us know, you will not be offered another one.
The Meet & Greet is conducted on-site by one of our trained Canine Carers and lasts for 2 hours. It includes the following steps:
1. It begins with an overview of paperwork, history and health with the pet parent. At this point we need copies of the vaccination certificates or unfortunately your dog will not be able to enter daycare.
2. Once complete, your pup joins our team member to observe how they react when away from their dog mum or dog dad
3. We then bring a few additional dogs into the controlled outside play area one at a time to assess your pup’s comfort level. Our Canine Carer observes how they interact with the other dogs to assess their comfort within an open play environment.
4. We will also assess their comfort level in a booth, which are only used for rest, naptime and feedings (when applicable).
5. At the end of the session our Canine Carer will then share what they learned with the pet parent. If for some reason the dog is not yet ready for open play, we will recommend steps the pet parent can take to help address the observed concern(s). Any dog that is not yet comfortable is always welcome back once they are ready to join the daycare environment.
The process is very easy and there is nothing to be nervous about at Paws Galore Daycare – we look forward to getting to know your pup better!
*Please note that although we are an open-play environment, we do allow a private nap for each dog in individual booths. Similar to children in a daycare, this allows a short rest to re-charge their batteries ready for more structured play! Puppies often need more frequent naps but our team is trained to pick up on puppy cues so we will ensure your pup’s needs are met. This does not exclude other dogs who might also need a nap!
